In a new interview, the 'Real Housewives' executive producer says asking the billionaire if she's ever 'taken a dip in the lady pond' is one of his biggest regrets.

AceShowbiz - Andy Cohen wished he could turn back time when looking back at his past interview with Oprah Winfrey. The "Real Housewives" executive producer claimed he regrets asking "The Oprah Winfrey Show" host if she ever slept with a woman.

The 56-year-old made the honest confession when speaking to Entertainment Tonight. He said asking the billionaire if she's ever "taken a dip in the lady pond" is one of his biggest regrets.

"It meant so much to me that Oprah Winfrey did the show," he recalled to the publication. "It's gone brilliantly and I turn around and ask her if she's every had sex with a woman. I mean, couldn't I leave it alone?"

Andy made the inquiry during a 2013 episode of his "Watch What Happens Live" talk show. At that time, the media mogul responded, "No, I have not. Thank you."

Luckily, Oprah didn't make him feel awkward for asking about her sexual history. In fact, according to Andy, the 70-year-old reportedly didn't even know what he meant.

"Gayle King told me later that week that Oprah didn't know what I meant by 'the lady pond,' " he said. "I thought I explained it pretty well there, but listen, I was so grateful that Oprah did the show and I still am."

Despite regretting his action, Andy suggested that the incident wasn't too bad after all. "That remains, I think, my favorite episode of WWHL," he declared.

During the interview with ET, Andy also shared "the secret to the success" of "Watch What Happens Live", which includes, "spontaneity, authenticity, fun, humor, me going there and people never knowing what's gonna happen." He added, "People let their guard down here."

"It's also live, we're on at night, we serve alcohol," Andy further detailed. "It's so small in here that it's deceptive, like, people don't realize they're actually on television."
