In the interview, Renner candidly recounts the ordeal he endured while being crushed by the snowmobile, including his difficulty breathing due to broken ribs and a punctured lung. He also discusses his recovery process, including his workouts and occasional cramping.
Returning to work on his show "Mayor of Kingstown" proved challenging, but Renner emphasized his determination to prioritize his recovery. "I'm coming to Pittsburgh to recover in my body and get better every f**king day, and I'm gonna do this show on the side," he said.
The accident has profoundly changed Renner's perspective on life and mortality. "I'm not having another bad day ever, dude," he affirmed. "I'm glad I'm here, and I'm going to keep feeding what you take with you: those shared experiences with those you love. It's eternal, and you take it with you."
Renner believes the experience has given him a new appreciation for life's preciousness. "All those [scars] are just reminders of the beautiful, beautiful day that could have been a really bad day," he said.
