AceShowbiz - Mindy Kaling has surprised many social media users with her recent announcement. The actress voicing Velma Dinkley on "Velma" revealed that she quietly gave birth to her third child a few months prior.
The actress/filmmaker, who turned 45 years old on Monday, June 24, announced that she has secretly welcomed her baby No. 3. Making use of her Instagram page, she unveiled in the caption of her new post, "In late February I gave birth to my daughter, Anne."
Mindy went on to gush, "She's the best birthday present I could've ever imagined. When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life."
The comedian, who created a Netflix series titled "Never Have I Ever", further voiced her gratitude by writing, "I'm so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!"
In the same post, Mindy treated her followers to an adorable picture of her three children. The photo featured Anne, who was lying down in between her older siblings. Though so, she kept the bundle of joy's face under tight wraps.
The snap also captured "The Office" star's first child, a 6-year-old daughter named Katherine, adoringly gazing at Anne. It also showed the actress' 3-year-old son Spencer sweetly giving Anne a kiss on the forehead.
In the photo, Anne, Katherine and Spencer were pictured soaking up the sun on a vibrant mat near a playground in the backyard of their home. They appeared to have had a blast as they enjoyed the sunny day.
After breaking the news about the arrival of her third child, Mindy received supportive messages from Instagram users. Among them was fellow actress Reese Witherspoon who wrote, "Beautifully said," adding a slew of heart emojis. Another user penned, "Queen of secretly giving birth."
This was not the first time Mindy, who has never revealed her kids' father, surprised her fans with baby news. When she gave birth to Spencer, she kept the happy news private for some time before making an announcement during an appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert".
