AceShowbiz - B.J. Novak, the beloved "The Office" alum, has shared his heartwarming thoughts on Mindy Kaling's baby daughter, Anne, who was welcomed in late February. In a new interview, Novak, 44, couldn't help but express his adoration for the newborn.
"Of course," he replied to PEOPLE when asked if he had met the newest addition to Kaling's family. He went on to exclaim, "She is adorable and the best."
Last month, Kaling, 45, surprised fans by announcing her secret birth on Instagram, along with a first glimpse of baby Anne. Kaling is also mother to daughter Katherine "Kit," 6, and son Spencer, 3.
Kaling's pregnancy was kept a closely guarded secret, even from close friends and family. However, Novak, who is godfather to Kit and Spencer, has evidently already established a close bond with Anne.
Novak and Kaling met while working on "The Office" in 2004. Their on-again, off-again relationship ended in 2007, but they have maintained a strong friendship.
Despite the rampant speculation that Novak is the father of Kaling's children, neither has confirmed or denied the rumors. Kaling has expressed her appreciation for Novak's role in her children's lives, calling him "a great godfather" and a "great reminder of the pure joy" in her life.
In recent years, Kaling has focused on motherhood and her thriving career as an actress, writer, producer, and director. She has previously shared her gratitude for the opportunity to raise her children on her own terms and timeline.
