The actor, best known for his role as Scotty Smalls on 'The Sandlot', has pled guilty to charges stemming from a violent exchange with his neighbor in South Carolina.

AceShowbiz - Actor Thomas Guiry, famously known for playing Scotty Smalls on "The Sandlot", has pled guilty to several charges stemming from a violent exchange with his neighbor. According to Horry County court records, Guiry was fined $757 after admitting to third-degree assault and battery, public disorderly conduct and malicious damaging. He was also credited for time served following his arrest on June 2.

The incident, which has shocked fans of the actor, began when Guiry was captured on surveillance footage throwing a 35-pound dumbbell through the window of a white Jeep. The disturbance didn't end there. Guiry was later seen approaching his neighbor's front door with a knife in hand, escalating the situation further. WBTW News 13 reported multiple 911 calls from the victims, who detailed about two hours of chaos, yelling, and screaming.

One victim recounted how Guiry followed her into her home still holding the knife, prompting her husband to confront the actor in the garage. When police arrived at the scene, Guiry was found in the middle of the street asking about his wife's safety. Addressing the Jeep owner, Guiry reportedly apologized and promised to pay for the damages, saying, "That sucks, man, I'll pay you back, I'm sorry, I'm gonna get you back. I did it. I'm sorry man. I'm coming back to get you, [I'm] sorry brother. I'll pay you back."

Tom Guiry left the courthouse without making any statements, and a representative did not immediately respond to requests for comment. This isn't Guiry's first brush with the law. Back in August 2013, he faced felony assault charges for headbutting a police officer at an airport after being told he was too intoxicated to board a flight.

Despite his recent legal issues, Guiry has enjoyed a diverse acting career beyond "The Sandlot". His roles in acclaimed films such as "Mystic River", "Black Hawk Down" and "Lassie" have showcased his range as an actor. Most recently, he played himself in a 2022 comedy titled "Killin Smallz".

The series of events serve as a stark reminder of the pressures that come with fame and the real-life struggles celebrities often face. With his court case now behind him, Guiry and his fans will undoubtedly be looking forward to more positive chapters in his life and career.
