AceShowbiz - Meryl Streep's daughter has come out as lesbian. Over the weekend, Louisa Jacobson Gummer took to social media to introduce her girlfriend, Anna Blundell, to the world.

Making use of Instagram, the 33-year-old shared some pictures of her and her partner. "blessed to be entering the Joyful New Era bb," she wrote in the caption, adding a rainbow flag and a heart emojis.

The first slide showed Louisa and Anna taking a selfie in a dim red room. The second snipe, meanwhile, was an article with the headline that read, "We're Entering a Joyful New Era of Lesbian Fashion."

Louisa came out on the same day her mom Meryl celebrated her 75th birthday on Saturday, June 22. Some Instagram users noticed it with one writing, "COMING OUT [ON] YOUR MOM'S BIRTHDAY IS SO ICONIC."

Louisa graduated from the Yale School of Drama with a Master of Fine Arts in acting. She is Meryl and her estranged husband Don Gummer's youngest child.

In addition to Louisa, the exes share three other children. They are son Henry Wolfe Gummer, 44, daughter Mamie Gummer, 40, as well as daughter Grace Gummer, 38.

In October, it was revealed Meryl and Don had split after 45 years of marriage. A spokesperson for the actress revealed at the time the pair had been quietly "separated for more than six years" and living different lives. Even though the former couple had not been seen together since 2018, Meryl was photographed wearing her wedding ring up until the news of their split broke.

"The Devil Wears Prada" actress was later romanitically linked to Martin Short after they were caught together at the Golden Globe Awards in January. However, later that same month, he denied the speculations.

During an appearance on the "Club Random" podcast, host Bill Maher referred to the two as a "power couple." It prompted Martin to clarify, "We're not a couple. We are just very close friends."
