On the June 20 episode of the Bravo late-night show, host Andy Cohen asked Bernhard about her experience working with Fairchild on the 1990s sitcom. Fairchild played Marla, the bisexual girlfriend of Bernhard's character, Nancy Bartlett, in a groundbreaking three-episode arc.

To Cohen's astonishment, Bernhard confessed that she was "not nice" to Fairchild during the filming of the ABC comedy series, revealing it as one of her biggest regrets.

"I owe you an apology," Bernhard declared, speaking directly to the camera. "I adore you. And thank you for putting up with my snotty little attitude." Her admission included an acknowledgment of being consistently dismissive, attributing this to the overall unkind atmosphere on set.

When pressed by Cohen on what might have led to such behavior, Bernhard could only respond, "I don't know! Everybody was kind of not nice to her."
