The 'Get Ur Freak On' artist reveals that she is 'feeling so much better' a few weeks ahead of her 'Out of This World - The Missy Elliott Experience' tour with Ciara and Busta Rhymes.

AceShowbiz - Missy Elliott has voiced her excitement for her first-ever headlining tour. Despite setbacks due to her battle with Graves' disease, the singer/songwriter, who is also known as Misdemeanor, revealed that she was "super excited" to hit the road with Ciara and Busta Rhymes.

The 52-year-old hip-hop artist opened up about her upcoming "Out of This World - The Missy Elliott Experience" tour in a new interview published on Wednesday, June 19. Speaking to PEOPLE following a long rehearsal, she said, "It's full days, then I go home, and the work continues. But I feel good. I'm super excited."

About her preparation ahead of the tour, Missy shared, "Listen, every morning my regimen is I get up, wash my face, brush my teeth and walk. I say my prayers as I'm walking, and then all of these ideas start coming to mind. I'll call everybody like, 'I want to swing from this,' and they're like, 'Do you know how much that costs?' "

The "Get Ur Freak On" artist went on to express her gratitude to be alive, "Every day I wake, I'm blessed to be here and in good health. I'm feeling so much better now." She further told the outlet that she has been managing her Graves' disease with medication, adding, "That was a run. Every now and then you get a little ache in the leg or the knee, but outside of that, I feel good."

During the chat, Missy also talked about Ciara asking her to go on a tour together. She recalled, "Ciara had been asking me and asking me. I'd be like, 'Okay,' but then I'd always find myself in the studio doing something else."

Elsewhere in the interview, Ciara showered Missy with praise before teasing the tour. "Missy has always been one of my greatest inspirations and like a big sister to me. She is the definition of a true artist. She has always raised the bar to the highest level, and I feel so blessed that we have been able to share some of our biggest hits together," she gushed. "I have no doubt we are going to give the fans an out of this world experience."

Missy will kick off "Out of This World - The Missy Elliott Experience" on July 4. The tour came years after she "struggled with both her mental and physical health in the late 2000s because of her Graves' diagnosis." The disease is described as an autoimmune disorder that can cause anxiety, fatigue and severe weight loss.
