Ahead of the 25th anniversary of 'Dark Angel', the actress playing Max Guevara on the sci-fi series reflects on the show's impact and its relevance in today's technological landscape.

AceShowbiz - Jessica Alba is considering a reboot of her iconic sci-fi drama "Dark Angel", but notes that the final decision may depend on the show's creators. She expressed enthusiasm for working with James Cameron again, who helmed the original series.

Ahead of the 25th anniversary of "Dark Angel", Alba reflected on the show's impact and its relevance in today's technological landscape. She acknowledged its advanced ideas about artificial intelligence and expressed curiosity about how the show would explore this topic with the knowledge gained in the past years.

"Oh my goodness, would I do 'Dark Angel' again? If Jim wanted to do Dark Angel, I would do Dark Angel again," Alba shared. "Yeah, 'cause he really has been a mentor of mine and it would just be fun to work with him. We have that history together and I admire him so much, so I think it would be fun."

"[Dark Angel] was ahead of its time, for sure, but it would be really interesting just to see where Jim and Chuck would take it knowing what we know now about AI and everything, yeah, and just where technology is. It would be cool to see how, where they would dream," Alba added.

However, Alba's fond memories are tempered by Jensen Ackles' previous revelation on Michael Rosenbaum's podcast that she was "horrible" to work with during the show's second season. Back in 2022, Ackles claimed that Alba's personal struggles and relationship issues created tension on set, leading her to target him as the "new kid on the block."

Despite the initial friction, Ackles noted that he and Alba eventually developed a brother-sister dynamic, offering each other support during difficult times. Alba even comforted Ackles after his grandfather's passing.

Currently, Alba stars in the Netflix action thriller "Trigger Warning", a project she is involved in as a producer and actress. The film explores themes of gun violence and trauma through the lens of a female Special Forces commando. Alba emphasizes the importance of having a feminine perspective in this genre, as it allows for a more nuanced portrayal of women in action roles.
