Upon catching wind of Fat Joe's remarks, Internet users are quick to express their disagreement with one asking Fat Joe to stop 'stop saying this dumb s**t.'

AceShowbiz - Fat Joe lands in hot water after sharing his opinion about Chris Brown having the potential to be the next Michael Jackson. However, the R&B star's assault scandal involving his then-girlfriend Rihanna makes it impossible now, according to Fat Joe.

Fat Joe shared his opinion during an Instagram Live, saying, "If Chris Brown never got into the controversy with Rihanna, we would be calling him Michael Jackson right now." He quickly clarified, "Not like Michael Jackson, Michael Jackson. He's the most talented singer, artist, performer, hitmaker of our time."

"There's nobody even close to Chris Brown. And it's time we move past it, it's been twenty-something years. That I know of, there's no more incidents. Man, we gonna let this lifetime go by without saying the truth?" he continued.

"When the truth is an unpopular decision, everybody gets scared to say it, they get canceled... Especially famous people," Fat Joe added. "The streets, they know what it is. The streets always know to tell you the truth. The streets still bumping R. Kelly. He's in jail, he did terrible things. They still bumping R. Kelly. So what I'm trying to say is, it's a shame we're lying and we're giving up to the king of R&B. The king of music."

The "All the Way Up" spitter further noted, "We thinking he could battle Michael Jackson, that's all I'm trying to say. If you really look at his body of work, you look at all his hits, you see what he does... You remove from your mind that we don't like it. We don't like that he had a controversy... We don't condone... He was a little kid, twenty-something years ago."

Upon catching wind of Fat Joe's remarks, Internet users were quick to express their disagreement. Begging to differ, one wrote on X, "Does Chris Brown have ANY music that even remotely lives up to Michael Jackson's third best album? I need you n***as to stop saying this dumb s**t." Similarly, one other said, "tf y'all be saying ? I'm not saying CB ain't mad talented but c'mon bruh. He not making timeless music like Mike."

Another MJ fan stresed, "Another reminder how MJ's legacy has been boiled down to DANCE. Doing backflips does not = being a great songwriter and global cultural avatar. LEVELS of fame. CB hasn't even reached Usher's status. And doesn't even have Bobby's Don't Be Cruel in his arsenal. Be serious....." Someone else added, "A lie is a lie no matter how many times you say it… love CB but let's put this one to rest for good."
