AceShowbiz - Paris Hilton is giving insights into the upcoming reboot of her and Nicole Richie's beloved series "The Simple Life". In a new interview, the hotel heiress revealed that the camera is rolling soon.
"We are starting production soon," Hilton said in an interview with ET. "It's going to be iconic. Nicole and I have been best friends since we were 2, so I can't wait to be back together for this. It's gonna be so much fun."
Sources told ET that the new series will have a "reunion type of feel" and will play on the nostalgia of the original show. "They aren't going to be leaving their families and going somewhere remote in the same way that they did on 'The Simple Life,'" a source said.
Hilton and Richie's friendship has been a constant in their lives since childhood. "There are those times where you just look at each other and you just know what you're saying," Hilton said. "We have secret languages together. I don't have any other person who I've been friends with and have known my entire life like that, like a sister."
While details about the reboot remain a secret, Hilton and Richie have been discussing the project for nearly two years. "We are very excited," Hilton said. "This is going to be a reunion show about our friendship. ... We are the OG's and I am so proud of that show and how it just inspired so many other people."
