AceShowbiz - WNBA star Candace Parker and wife Anna Petrakova have officially expanded their family with the birth of their third child and second son, Hartt Summitt Petrakov Parker. This adorable addition to their family was announced via an Instagram post on Monday, June 10, alongside heartwarming photos of the little one.
Hartt, whose middle name pays tribute to legendary women's basketball coach Pat Summitt, is Parker's second child with Petrakova. The couple also shares a son, Airr Larry, who was born in 2022. Parker is also a mother to 14-year-old daughter Lailaa from her previous marriage to former NBA player Sheldon Williams.
In the Instagram post, Parker expressed her love and gratitude for their "little brother" while also acknowledging the challenges of adjusting to zone defense as a family. She also thanked photographer @aprilbellephotos for capturing their precious family moments.
In the past, Parker has shared her admiration for coach Summitt's impact on her life, writing in a 2009 Sports Illustrated essay that everything Summitt did was aimed at making her "a better individual."
Parker's newest family member completes their starting lineup, as the couple announced their pregnancy in December 2023. Their adorable announcement emphasized the versatility and depth this rookie would bring to their team, which already includes a shooter, point forward, rebounder and rim attacker.
Formerly a star player for the Lady Vols and the Las Vegas Aces, Parker retired in April 2024 after a remarkable 16-season WNBA career. She is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the league, having won multiple championships and individual accolades, including Rookie of the Year and MVP in the same season.
