AceShowbiz - Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer Pardi, are delighted as they prepare to welcome their second baby girl. Jon shared that he and Summer couldn't be more thrilled to meet their new daughter in the coming weeks. The couple first announced they were expecting in January, and the new baby will soon join her big sister, Presley, who is just one year old.
"Yup, No. 2 is ready to go," Jon told ET's Rachel Smith from CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee. "Summer's ready to get it out, you know? She's at the uncomfortable parts of pregnancy." The CMA Award winner added, "She's tough, but she's ready. We're ready, we're excited."
Jon and Summer tied the knot in an intimate Tennessee wedding in November 2020 after three years of dating. Now, their preparations for the baby's arrival include a nursery that is entirely Summer's project. With more than 285,000 followers on Instagram, Summer has made it clear she's in charge of the nursery's aesthetic. "If I step foot in there, she'll be like, 'Get out of here,' " Jon joked.
This second pregnancy was somewhat unexpected for the couple, as Summer revealed in an Instagram Stories Q&A. The couple had a challenging time conceiving their first daughter, so they anticipated another long process. "We had such a hard time getting pregnant with Presley (tried for 2 years and were told we had to do IVF, but then got pregnant naturally as soon as we said screw it all)," Summer wrote. However, in October, they decided to start trying again and were pleasantly surprised by the quick result.
