In a candid revelation on 'Live with Kelly and Mark', the longtime host of the TV program opens up about her struggle with covering gray hair, leading to a deeper conversation about aging.

AceShowbiz - Kelly Ripa, the vibrant host of "Live with Kelly and Mark", recently shared a relatable struggle in the June 5 episode of the show, spending endless hours in a salon chair only to find that her grays stubbornly remain. Her story resonates with many who face similar battles with hair color and the aging process.

"It's still gray," she lamented to her co-host and husband, Mark Consuelos. Despite his protests, Ripa expressed her frustration after a lengthy dye session meant to cover her gray hair. "I spent, I don't mind telling you, about 11-teen hours in the hair color chair yesterday," she shared with the audience. However, she still found herself battling the silver strands that persisted.

The conversation extended beyond just a bad day at the salon. Ripa has been increasingly vocal about her hair's natural inclination to turn gray, revealing that she's grown weary of the repetitive and time-consuming dyeing routine. "Just weeks ago on the show, Ripa admitted that her hair 'wants' to be gray, and she's getting tired of the dyeing process," noted People. "It takes hours and hours," Ripa said. "And I swear this morning, I still see gray hair. My hair wants to be gray. It just wants to be gray."

While Ripa is not yet ready to fully embrace her gray hair, Consuelos suggested that perhaps she should give it a try. "Try out the gray," he encouraged cheekily during their live chat. But Ripa hesitated, explaining that her gray isn't as flattering as she would like. "It's almost translucent. It's like my hair is see-through. What is it called? Those cellophane noodles. That's what my hair looks like. What do I do with that?"
