AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian received backlash for being included in Variety's latest Actors on Actors issue. Fans took issue after Variety released covers for the latest issues featuring the "American Horror Story: Delicate" star alongside established actors such as Chloe Sevigny, Robert Downey Jr., Jodie Foster, Quinta Brunson, Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson among others.
In her cover, Kim could be seen posing with Chloe, who was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in "Boys Don't Cry". In response to Kim's inclusion in the issue, Internet users quickly accused the outlet of clickbaiting and insisted that "The Kardashians" star didn't belong there.
"The fact that ya'll even used Kim K. tells us how desperate you are for clicks and how much disdain and disrespect you have for the craft," an Instagram comment read. "What an insult to the many trained, hardworking actors who DO THE REAL WORK! To say this is shameful is an understatement."
Someone added, "Kim K is not an actor! She doesn't belong in this space!" Another wrote, "Seriously zero credibility with Kim K. What a joke Variety," while one person noted, "Beyond disrespectful to Chloe."
Chloe, however, didn't seem to be bothered for being paired with Kim. The Golden Globe-winning actress reshared on Instagram Story Variety's post featuring the cover, which saw both stars rocking dresses, on Monday, June 3. In the caption, the 49-year-old actress wrote, "Always nice to be included. Thank you @variety."
On the other hand, Kim is taking her acting career further. In addition to playing the role of Siobhan on "AHS: Delicate", the mom of four previously starred on "CSI: NY" and lent her voice to some movies including "PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie" and PAW Patrol: The Movie" among others.
She is also set to star on a new TV series by Ryan Murphy. The aspiring lawyer will portray to be L.A.'s "most successful divorce lawyer" leading "an all-female law firm" on a new Hulu scripted legal drama penned by Brothers & Sisters creator Jon Robin Baitz.
