Known for her role on 'One Tree Hill', the 41-year-old actress celebrates her first Pride Month since coming out as queer by sharing heartfelt messages on Instagram.

AceShowbiz - Sophia Bush marked her first Pride Month since coming out as queer with an impactful message on Instagram on June 2nd. She reposted a quote that read, "You are perfect. No matter how long it might take, you'll find your people. And they will help you find more and more of yourself. It's worth it. You're worth it."

The 41-year-old star, who publicly came out in April, also shared her own sentiments, writing, "Pride is important because someone tonight still believes they're better off dead than being themselves." She shared a makeup-free selfie with a Pride flag emoji, celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community.

Bush's message comes a week after she denied rumors that she and her girlfriend, soccer star Ashlyn Harris, are engaged. In a playful Instagram post, she joked, "I have no 'news' for you. But wouldn't you put your hands all up in her jacket if you could?"

Bush and Harris, who are both divorcees, began dating in late 2023 and made their red carpet debut at the White House Correspondents Dinner in April. Bush has stated that she didn't expect to find love with Harris, but it was "instant chemistry."

In an essay for Glamour magazine, Bush shared that she has identified as queer for a long time. "I sort of hate the notion of having to come out in 2024. But I'm deeply aware that we are having this conversation in a year when we're seeing the most aggressive attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community in modern history," she wrote.

Bush emphasized the importance of coming out as a way to "finally feel like she can breathe." She encouraged others to embrace their identities and find their own sense of belonging.

Bush's celebration of Pride Month is a powerful reminder of the ongoing fight for LGBTQIA+ rights and the importance of creating a more inclusive and accepting world for all.
