AceShowbiz - Shifty Shellshock has left fans concerned with his final social media post. The lead singer of Crazy Town, who passed away at the age of 49 on Monday, June 24, shared something for the last time on Instagram on April 28 and it caused alarm from his online devotees.

The said post showed someone wearing a black top and black ski mask as they look into the camera, surrounded by other people sporting white tops and white ski masks. On the top of it, there was a message that read, "Real is rare, fake is everywhere."

Shifty captioned it, "To the ones who stay even when I try my hardest to scare the [sic] away," adding a black heart emoji. While the post is currently limited, people managed to leave comments beforehand, showing him support.

One user wrote, "Come see me when you get a chance." Another wrote, "I'm not going anywhere! Always here" A third added, "Long time no speak but I will always be here for you." Trap "Daddy" Gambino recently penned, "These posts…. I really hope they open eyes."

Shifty's body was found in his Los Angeles home on Monday. In the wake of his passing, authorities launched an investigation on the possibility of a fatal drug overdose since drug paraphernalia and a lighter were discovered near his body. Despite having recently professed his sobriety, his struggles with addiction were long-standing and well-publicized.

Shifty, born Seth Binzer, co-founded Crazy Town in 1992 with [Bret Mazur], and together they launched their debut album "The Gift of Game" in 1999. The album reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200, primarily driven by their hit single "Butterfly". Released as the third single from the album, "Butterfly" climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, where it stayed for two weeks. The catchy tune, featuring a sample from the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Pretty Little Ditty", remains Crazy Town's most memorable hit. However, their follow-up album "Darkhorse" failed to replicate their initial success.

Throughout his career, Binzer was candid about his battles with substance abuse. His struggles saw him appear on VH1's "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew" and "Sober House", reflecting his ongoing fight with addiction. Despite his efforts to turn his life around, including a heartfelt Instagram post just eight weeks ago proclaiming his commitment to sobriety, the demons of addiction seemingly never left him.
