The 'Beautiful Girls' hitmaker has released a statement, addressing the legal drama he and his family are facing following a house raid in Miami and the arrest of his mother.

AceShowbiz - In a recent legal drama, singer Sean Kingston's Florida property was raided, resulting in the arrest of his mother, Janice Turner, on numerous fraud and theft charges. According to USA Today, the raid was conducted by the Broward Sheriff's Office and the Davie Police SWAT team on Thursday, May 23.

Kingston, who was not present during the raid, addressed the situation on his Instagram Stories, "People love negative energy! I am good and so is my mother! My lawyers are handling everything as we speak." The singer appears to maintain his usual flamboyant persona despite the accusations against him.

Attorney Dennis Card, representing the plaintiff Ver Ver Entertainment, explained that the raid was connected to a lawsuit against Kingston for allegedly not paying for an entertainment installation system. "He likes having bling, he likes showing off, he's a showman," Card stated.

The lawsuit claims Kingston owes $150,000 for a 232-inch TV and sound system installed in his home. This is just one of many allegations against the singer, including owing over $1 million for timepieces and other luxury items.

Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed Turner handcuffed and being placed into a Broward County Sheriff's vehicle. The raid has also spotlighted Kingston's past legal issues, with Card calling him "100 percent a scammer." Kingston is reportedly on felony probation for trafficking in stolen property and has multiple judgments against him for unpaid luxury items.

The legal issues surrounding Kingston are not entirely new. In January 2006, Turner pled guilty to filing false loan applications and bank fraud involving $132,000 in stolen funds. She was sentenced to 16 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release.

While Kingston continues to prepare for upcoming shows and support his mother's business ventures, the unfolding legal drama has certainly placed him under a cloud of suspicion. The investigation remains ongoing, and it's yet to be determined if Kingston will face any charges related to the recent raid.
