AceShowbiz - Russell Wilson has been showered with praise for the way he treats Ciara's son. The NFL star was deemed a "real dad" after calling Future Zahir Wilburn his and his wife's "biggest blessing" on the boy's birthday.
On Sunday, May 19, the 35-year-old athlete paid a heartfelt tribute to Future, whom his singer wife shares with rapper Future, on his Instagram page. He voiced his gratitude for having the young boy in his life while celebrating his 10th birthday.
In the caption of his new post, Russell wrote, "Happy Bday Future! The big 10!!" He went on to gush, "We are so proud of you & so grateful for you. You are our biggest blessing. An amazing son! The best big brother!! An absolute baller! So kind and loving!"
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback further penned, "Keep shining. Keep loving. It is our greatest joy watching you grow into the young man God created you to be! I can't believe it's been 10 years! God is good!" He then showered Future with love by writing, "We love you forever!!! @Ciara."
In the same post, Russell uploaded a video of him and Future over the years. The short footage included a photo of him showing his support for Future during the child's football game. In the snap, it could be seen that he placed his hand on Future's shoulder as they posed on a field.
The clip also featured several pictures of Russell and Future sporting matching ensembles at events. One of the snaps saw the two looking in sync in a black suit and white shirt. In the meantime, another photo showed them rocking white tops, navy blue blazers and matching pants.
After posting the heartfelt tribute, Russell received many positive online responses from Instagram users. In the comments section of the post, one in particular marveled, "That's a dad right there. When bio FATHER doesn't do his part, real DAD is there!! Blessed young man!" Similarly, another wrote, "Man this the kind of step pops everyone deserves !!"
A third suggested, "Every time this man say that's his son it's always people arguing over he's not the dad or just a step dad...who cares!! He's raising him well and that's all that matters." A fourth noted, "To have a man love & care for your child as his own, is the ultimate answered prayer."
Ciara and her former fiance Future welcomed their son Future back in May 2014. Ciara tied the knot with Russell in 2016. The wedded couple has three children, 7-year-old Sienna Princess, 3-year-old Win Harrison and 5-month-old Amora Princess, together.
