The actress/comedian and 'Saturday Night Live' cast member Kenan Thompson join forces to promote Vampire Weekend's appearance on the NBC hit comedy series.

AceShowbiz - Maya Rudolph, along with veteran cast member Kenan Thompson, welcomed Vampire Weekend as the musical guest for this week's "Saturday Night Live". The promo featured a humorous banter about a missing hair dryer and a playful mocking of the band's Transylvanian accents.
Thompson inquired about the origin of Vampire Weekend's name, to which Ezra Koenig responded with a whimsical tale. He claimed the band members were named "Vampire Friday," "Vampire Saturday" and "Vampire Sunday," respectively. However, the actual genesis of the name lies in Koenig's short film of the same name, inspired by the classic vampire movie "Lost Boys."
The promos also revealed that Rudolph has been hiding in an "SNL" closet for 17 years, accompanied by her friend Kenny the mop. Despite having remained hidden since her departure in 2007, she emerged to host the show, which will air on May 11th. Vampire Weekend will make their fourth appearance on SNL, marking Rudolph's second turn as host since her previous appearance in 2001.
