AceShowbiz - Jeremy Strong may star in "Deliver Me From Nowhere", an upcoming movie centering on Bruce Springsteen. According to a new report, the "Succession" star is in talks to play the musician's longtime manager, Jon Landau, in the feature.
Should Jeremy accept the role, he will join Jeremy Allen White who has been tapped to portray Bruce in the flick. Variety is the first to report.
Directed and written by Scott Cooper, "Deliver Me From Nowhere" is about the making of Bruce's album, "Nebraska". It's based on Warren Zane's 2023 book "Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska".
The album, which is dubbed one the greatest albums of all time by critics and music aficionados, was released in 1982, serving as the follow-up to Bruce's 1980 double album "The River". Expected to be a blockbuster rock record with the E Street Band, the set is a stripped-down solo album made on a four-track recorder instead.
"It is a once-in-a-lifetime honor to be collaborating with Bruce Springsteen, an inspiring and incomparable artist who represents so much to so many," Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios president David Greenbaum said last month of "Deliver Me From Nowhere". "The deep authenticity of his story is in great hands with my friend Scott Cooper whom I am thrilled to be collaborating with once again."
Filming for the 20th Century and Disney is slated to start in the fall.
Meanwhile, Jeremy's next project is "The Apprentice". In the movie, which stars Sebastian Stan as a young Donald Trump, the Kendall Roy depicter on the hit HBO drama "Succession" will be playing infamous attorney Roy Cohn. "The Apprentice" will premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
