While speculation arises that the drive-by shooting might have stemmed from his beef with Kendrick Lamar, conspiracy theory floats online that the 'First Person Shooter' hitmaker might be behind the incident.

AceShowbiz - As police are currently investigating a recent shooting at Drake's Toronto mansion, social media users have spread wild conspiracy theory about the shocking incident. According to some people, the Canadian superstar might be behind the shooting at his own home.

The conspiracy theorists rejected another speculation that the shooting might have occurred in the wake of his ongoing beef with Kendrick Lamar. Instead of blaming K.Dot for the shooting, the haters accused Drizzy of staging the drive-by shooting that injured his security guard.

"Yeah we all know this all thing is staged," one person claimed on X, formerly known as Twitter, after reports emerged about the shooting. Another opined, "i see all the people in the comment blaming kendrick, yall realize this might be script by drake?"

Agreeing, a third user said, "Was my thought as well. It's easily a Drake thing to do." A fourth person pointed out, "Drake said he's a manipulator in his own words. This seems like media manipulation for sympathy & change of topic on Kendrick's victory." Another theorized, "If it went down inside the property then it's an insiders job.. maybe among the crew."

However, some others begged to differ. "A script for Drake to nearly kill his own security? No this is real.. more than likely. A crazy fan that wants to be down with Kendrick or something.. nobody is gonna try to kill their own security.. this is not a joke," someone argued.

Seemingly blaming Kendrick's fans for the shooting, another remarked, "kendrick fans are a cult." Someone else clapped back at the conspiracy theorists, "The hate has gotten to a point where y'all think Drake actively shot up his own house and injured one of his security guards do y'all hear yourselves."

The shooting occurred around 2 A.M. on Tuesday, May 7 at Drake's Park Lane Circle residence. Police have described the event as a drive-by although a photo showed Drake's front door being taped in the aftermath of the shooting. In a news release, authorities said they believe the man "was shot from a vehicle which then fled the scene."

Inspector Paul Krawczyk said at a news conference, "That person was working apparently as a security guard at the residence. He was standing outside the gates in front of the residence when the shooting occurred."

The security guard was found unconscious with gunshot wound to the upper chest. He was rushed to nearby Sunnybrook Hospital and immediately underwent surgery. As of Tuesday night, the security guard remains in serious condition.

It's not clear if Drake was at the house at the time of the shooting, but DJ Akademiks has relayed a message from the rapper himself during a livestream. "I have spoken with Drake, and he's okay. You know, he said he's good. Nothing more than that, nothing less," he told his viewers.

"Obviously, you know, there's someone who's probably still battling for their life, and got shot at his house," he added about the injured security guard. "But if you're wondering [about] Drake himself, he's fine and I think that's short and sweet."
