AceShowbiz - Charles Barkley showed remorse for offending Tina Knowles with his comments on Galveston. In a new episode of "Inside the NBA", the former NBA star issued an apology to the mom of Beyonce Knowles.

"I don't want that smoke," Charles said. He additionally mentioned the "Cuff It" hitmaker's husband Jay-Z and her massive fanbase, known as Beyhives, saying, "I don't want Beyhive and Jay after me."

Prior to this, Charles dissed Galveston, which also happened to be Tina's home city. In an episode of "Inside the NBA" on Saturday, April 27, joked that the New Orleans Pelicans have played so badly that they don't deserve to travel to Cancun.

That prompted Shaquille O'Neal to ask, "Where they going, Chuck?" In response to the Hall of Famer's question, Charles said, "Galveston. That dirty a** water. We not even gonna send them to Cancun."

After catching wind of the remarks, Tina took to her Instagram account to fire back at Charles in a playful post. "Chuck we don't play about Galveston Texas ! You better watch it sucker! Our water might not be blue , but it is still the beach and we love it! In fact , what you probably don't Know is It's an Island !!"

Fans agreed with Tina with one commenting, "Baby Galveston is a peaceful place you better tell them Mama T." Another found this whole thing funny, writing, "Not Jay being messy and sending you this." Someone else similarly said, "LMFAOOO Jay is just like me I can hear him now 'he disrespecting yall city, yall gon take that?' "
