AceShowbiz - In a sneak peek of "Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise," Elizabeth Chambers, the ex-wife of Armie Hammer, discusses the importance of shielding her children from the controversies surrounding their father.

Chambers, 41, explains that she remains fiercely protective of Harper, 9, and Ford, 7, to protect them from the negative media attention and scandalous allegations that have plagued Hammer.

"They have - thank God - no idea about what is going on," she tells co-star Julian Foster. "My children are visibly happy. They should think that their dad is a superhero. And to be fair, he has been to them. He's been the best he can be."

Chambers emphasizes that she avoids speaking negatively about Hammer in public or to her children, recognizing the potential harm of perpetuating "daddy issues." "I don't speak negatively about him to my children. Because nobody wants a daughter with daddy issues, and nobody wants a son with daddy issues," she says. "They should think their dad's a superhero."

Following their divorce in 2020, Hammer faced allegations of abuse and disturbing behavior, which he has denied. Chambers acknowledges the pain and trauma she experienced during their highly publicized split, but she remains committed to protecting her children. "Whatever generational family trauma has occurred, it ends now," she says. "That is my life work."

Chambers also opens up about her own personal growth and healing after the divorce. She has surrounded herself with a supportive community and is focused on building a positive future for her family. "I am very much at a place where I'm ready for a fresh start on the island," she reflects. "And now I can move on from things that I didn't create.
