KT Smith who shares a son with 'The Voice' alum slams rumor that her wedding announcement had anything to do with his disorderly conduct that prompted his arrest in Nashville, suggesting the timeline was just a coincidence.

AceShowbiz - Following the arrest of country music star Morgan Wallen on April 7 for throwing a chair off a Nashville rooftop bar, his ex-fiancee KT Smith has issued a statement. Smith, who recently announced her marriage to Luke Scornavacco, denies any connection between Wallen's arrest and her new relationship status.

"Although it may seem like it correlates because of the timeline, I have no evidence to believe the incident had anything to do with the recent marriage announcement," Smith said.

Smith and Wallen began dating in 2016 and became engaged shortly thereafter. They welcomed their now 3-year-old son, Indigo, in July 2020. However, Smith announced her engagement to Scornavacco in March 2024 and revealed their marriage on April 3.

Wallen's arrest came just days after he began his tour on April 4. Sources speculate that his arrest may have been fueled by the news of Smith's marriage.

"Whatever happened at that bar had to be reality hitting him in the face over losing the love of his life," a source told the Daily Mail.

However, Smith maintains that Wallen's arrest is not related to her new relationship. "I cannot speak on Morgan's behalf, but I do pray the very best for him," Smith said. "Praying that this was just a slip up and that he will return to the good path that he was on prior."

Wallen has faced controversy in the past, including an incident in 2021 where he was recorded using a racial slur. He subsequently apologized for his behavior and entered rehabilitation. He was also arrested for drunken disorderly conduct in 2020.
