The 'No Role Modelz' rapper gets a 'very genuine guy' label from the president of Top Dawg Entertainment after issuing an apology to his rival for releasing '7 Minute Drill'.

AceShowbiz - Punch has showered J. Cole with praise following the latter's apology to Kendrick Lamar. The president of Kendrick's label Top Dawg Entertainment called the "No Role Modelz" rapper a "very genuine guy" after the latter apologized to the "Pray for Me" spitter despite their feud.
On Monday, April 8, the record producer and record executive from Carson, California shared his thoughts on Cole issuing an apology to Kendrick. Making use of X, formerly known as Twitter, he gushed, "Cole is a very genuine guy. I respect it."
Punch, whose real name is Terrence Louis Henderson Jr., went on to write, "We often give in to external pressures and outside influences and act out of our own character. It's rare to have enough heart to make the correction. It didn't align with HIM so he fixed it in the same manner he engaged." He then concluded, "Salute," adding a folded hands emoji.
The praise came shortly after Cole made headlines for his confession about taking aim at Kendrick on "7 Minute Drill". During a headlining performance at his Dreamville Festival in North Carolina on Sunday, April 7, he stated, "I'm so proud of ['Might Delete Later'], except for one part. It's one part of that s**t that makes me feel like, 'Man that's the lamest s**t I did in my f**kin' life, right?' And I know this is not what a lot of people want to hear."
Cole additionally said that he did not "even feel no way" about Kendrick's shade. He admitted that he "felt conflicted" to fire back since "the world wanna see blood." He also claimed that releasing the diss track "disrupts my f**kin' peace." He later asked the audience, "How many people think Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest motherf**kers to ever touch a f**kin' microphone? Dreamville, y'all love Kendrick Lamar, correct? As do I."
"7 Minute Drill" was dropped on Friday, April 4 as a response to Kendrick's diss on "Like That", which was unleashed on March 22. While the president of his label has responded to Cole's apology, Kendrick himself has not broken his silence on the matter.
