Cabello has been single since briefly rekindling her romance with Shawn Mendes last year. She has considered online dating but is unsure if she is "too picky." She emphasizes that she is not interested in hook-up culture and prioritizes personality and connection in a partner.

"If I don't like you, if I don't get butterflies, it can't just be a physical thing for me,' she said of what she looks for in a partner. 'I need to think you're funny, it has to be a personality thing. It can't just be like, 'I wanna make out, so I'll make out with you to make out."

Previously, Cabello dated author Matthew Hussey for over a year before their split in 2019. She recently sparked romance rumors with rapper Drake after they were spotted together in the Caribbean.

"You know what, I love that man. I love him. We all love him," she said while dodging the question about their alleged hookup, "[Have I ever had a] beautiful artistic collaboration with him? I may or may not have."
