AceShowbiz - Brittany Cartwright has vehemently denied rumors that her recent separation from Jax Taylor is a publicity stunt to promote their new Bravo series, "The Valley."
Speaking on "Watch What Happens Live," Brittany openly discussed the significant fight that led to their split. She revealed that Jax was upset over her outing with Kristen Doute and they got into a heated fight. This incident, coupled with accumulating unhappiness, became the tipping point for Brittany.
Brittany emphasized that she has always been transparent and authentic, and the thought of using her son, Cruz, for a stunt is unimaginable. She stated, "I would never put him through that for no reason, for a fake stunt. That doesn't make any sense."
However, Brittany acknowledged that their separation was a serious matter that did not occur overnight. She cited her concerns about the way she was being treated by Jax and her realization that she did not want her son to grow up witnessing such behavior.
Despite the separation, Brittany shared that she and Jax have remained a united front for Cruz. They have continued to celebrate family events and attend Cruz's activities as a family of three.
Brittany also discussed her current co-parenting status with Jax. She praised him as a great father and stated that their priority is their son's well-being. While she has not yet engaged in couples therapy with Jax, she expressed a desire to do so in the future.
Regarding allegations of Jax's infidelity, Brittany stated that she is not aware of any unfaithfulness during their marriage. However, she admitted that she is uncertain whether Jax can maintain monogamy throughout their lives.
As for their future, Brittany expressed uncertainty and asserted that she deserves better. She stated that she has grown stronger and is focused on her well-being.
