AceShowbiz - Dating a global pop superstar definitely comes with a price. Travis Kelce is believed to have shelled out staggering money since he started dating Taylor Swift sometime in 2023 before they made their relationship public in September.
According to a new report by The New York Post, the Kansas City Chiefs player has spent more than $8 million in less than a year. He is estimated to have spent $8,232,229 million, more than half of his annual $14+ salary, on planes, gifts, a new home and others.
"Travis Kelce always comes to play - not just on the field, but in his everyday romance with Taylor Swift - sparing no expense," pop culture lifestyle expert Valerie Greenberg told the outlet. "He isn't afraid to open his heart and his wallet."
His biggest spending so far is his new mansion in Kansas City suburb of Leawood, which he purchased for $6 million in October for more privacy amid his romance with Taylor. "Leawood is one of the top 50 wealthiest towns in the U.S. It's an upscale, private neighborhood ... You have a lot of privacy and security compared to where he was before," Corcoran real estate agent Amanda Baum said. "It's a trophy property fit for a three-time Super Bowl Champion."
Travis also reportedly dropped $1 million on a Super Bowl suit for the singer, her parents and her brother. Taylor also brought her friends Ice Spice and Blake Lively to the game, with Travis' parents and brother Jason Kelce also seen in the VIP box.
At the time, the 34-year-old athlete said on his podcast that he was "counting how much money I'm spending on this damn Super Bowl for family and friends to come. Just making sure I'm on top of those finances and losing all this money."
Travis additionally splurged on various luxury items for his girlfriend, such as a $2,199 Venus et Fleur Round Grandiose arrangement of Eternity Roses, a $1,050 black lambskin Dior beret, a $5,100 Bottega Veneta bag, a straw Celine hate costing $1,100 and a Hermes Chevaux Dechaines scarf that goes for $1,300.
Not to mention the trips that he has taken to see his girlfriend on tour. The tight end took private jets to travel to Argentina in November, which costs around $300,000. His trip to Australia is believed to have cost him $340,000, while his recent trip to Singapore may have cost him $570,000.
