The UFC Hall of Famer continues his recovery journey at home after returning from hospital with 'sore' lungs and 'burnt' eyes following his heroic act during house fire.

AceShowbiz - Former UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman, 59, has been released from the hospital after saving his parents from a house fire in Toledo, Ohio. Coleman was initially hospitalized with smoke inhalation after rescuing his parents from the burning home early Tuesday morning, March 12.

In an Instagram post, Coleman expressed his gratitude for surviving the ordeal, "God is great... I am healing up very well. My lungs are sore. My eyes are burnt but I'm very much alive and well. I feel so blessed... He wants me to move forward today and I am."

Coleman's daughter, McKenzie, shared a video on social media showing her father awake and conversing in the hospital. "I'm the happiest man in the world," Coleman said in the video. "I'm so lucky. I can't believe my parents are alive."

Coleman's parents were not seriously injured, but Coleman was airlifted to a Toledo hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties. He was initially placed in an induced coma, but has since recovered and is now breathing on his own.

Coleman's family started a GoFundMe page to support him with medical expenses, which has raised over $121,000. Coleman's fans have also shown their support financially, making over 2,600 donations.

Coleman's heroics have inspired him to encourage others to live life to the fullest. "I'm one of the luckiest men in the world," he said. "I can't thank you enough. I'm just grateful. I'll continue to motivate people to move forward and be a better version of themselves. You never know when you're gonna need it, so let's go. Let's start today. Tomorrow's not promised. Get moving!"

Before his MMA career, Coleman was an accomplished wrestler. He won an NCAA championship at Ohio State and a silver medal at the 1991 world championships. He also finished seventh at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics.
