AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez has been showered with praise by Reese Witherspoon for her latest single. When making an appearance at the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards, the "Lose You to Love Me" hitmaker got to hear the "Hot Pursuit" actress' opinion on her new song titled "Love On" and its accompanying music video.
On Saturday night, February 24, the 31-year-old singer/actress brushed shoulders with the actress when they hit the red carpet at the annual award show, which took place at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California. In a video from the event, the two could be seen chatting about the newly-released single and its visuals.
Reese was documented excitedly telling Selena, "Your new song and video, so good," before the two famous figures shared a friendly hug. In response to Reese's compliment, Selena appeared to have said, "Thank you so much," as they held each other's hands. They continued talking before Selena was seen saying, "Thank you," to Reese near the end of the video.
Aside from that, Selena and Reese took a picture together on the red carpet. In the photo, Reese, who looked stunning in a strapless long red gown that came with a thigh-high slit, was captured placing her hand on Selena's back. Selena was rocking a glittery long white dress that featured a long trail and two straps with embellishments on them.
The praise came two days after Selena released her single titled "Love On" and its accompanying music video. On the track, which was produced by Monsters & Strangerz and Isaiah Tejada, she sings, "Why are we conversing over this steak tartare/ When we could be somewhere other than here/ Making out in the back of the car/ Or we could make a memoir/ On the back wall of the last stall in the bathroom at the bazaar."
In the visuals itself, Selena is cradling a dog in her arms while standing on a staircase, which is full of couples making out. In the whole footage, she is filmed wearing a number of stylish outfits, including a sleeveless hot pink dress that comes with a high neck design and long blue lace gown that has a halter neck design.
