AceShowbiz - Katy Perry has reunited with Taylor Swift, whom she deemed an "old friend." The "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker made an appearance at the "All Too Well" singer's recent concert where the two artists met and posed for a picture together.
On Friday night, February 23, the 39-year-old songstress was spotted attending Taylor's "Eras Tour" show in Sydney, Australia. That same day, she uploaded on her Instagram page a series of photos and videos from the gig.
In one of the pictures, Katy could be seen taking a group selfie with Taylor backstage at the concert. The two were photographed standing very close next to each other and flashing their radiant big smiles at the camera. Taylor even appeared to have wrapped her arms around Katy's shoulders.
In the same post, the "American Idol" judge also shared a slew of videos from the show. One of the clips documented her and fellow singer Rita Ora enjoying Taylor's performance. Rita was happily dancing and singing along to Taylor's single titled "You Belong With Me" from a VIP box.
Another short footage saw Katy giving her reaction to Taylor delivering "Bad Blood" on the stage. The track, which Taylor originally released back in 2014, is believed to be a diss song aimed at Katy. In the clip, the "California Gurls" singer appeared shocked as she opened her eyes and mouth wide. She also mouthed, "Bad blood," near the end of the video.
In addition, Katy wrote "Swifties" in the location section of the post, seemingly hinting that she is a big fan of Taylor. Along with the snaps and clips, she wrote in the caption, "Got to see an old friend shine tonight," adding sparkle and heart emojis.
Many believe that "Bad Blood" is about Katy after Taylor revealed that Katy "basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour" in an interview published back in 2014. She told Rolling Stone at that time that Katy stole her backup dancers.
In 2019, Katy shared during a chat with Australian radio hosts that she had apologized to Taylor. She went on to recall that they "started texting" before the two hung out together at Taylor's house. Since then, they have remained on good terms.
