AceShowbiz - A rumor suggesting that Gisele Bundchen cheated on Tom Brady with Joaquim Valente has been shut down. It was reported that the former Victoria's Secret model was loyal to the former NFL star despite a claim saying otherwise.
On Wednesday, February 21, a source, who told Page Six that Joaquim is a "true friend," revealed that the 43-year-old model and the Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor "had a conversation and became a couple" in July 2023. The source insisted that "things were fully platonic" prior to that.
Another insider, who claimed to be close to Gisele, told the media outlet that "there was no cheating." The insider explained that Joaquim "was there merely to give the family intensive jiu-jitsu training" and "his brother was also with them" when the pair were on their Costa Rica and Brazil trips in 2022.
Other sources elaborated as noted by the media outlet, "At the time of the 2022 trip, Bundchen was living part-time between Tampa, [Florida] and Costa Rica while she waited for a Miami home to be finished. The martial arts studio is in Miami, so the butt-kicking brothers would travel with them to give them lessons."
The revelation came shortly after it was alleged that there was infidelity in Gisele and Tom's marriage. Earlier that day, a number of sources, who claimed to be connected to Tom, spilled to TMZ that the retired football player "believes" that Gisele and Joaquim "started dating long before that." One of the sources said, "They should add 2021 after June. Then the headline would be accurate."
Gisele and Joaquim appeared unfazed by the cheating claims. That same day, the couple was spotted leaving her house in Miami separately. While she was captured walking her dog, he was photographed making his way into his car.
One day prior, PEOPLE confirmed that Gisele and Joaquim are dating. A source unveiled to the outlet, "They have been dating since June. They're taking it slow. They started out as great friends first. She's very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other."
Gisele and Joaquim have been caught hanging together several times. The two were even photographed taking her two children for a getaway to Costa Rica back in November 2023. She was previously married to Tom, with whom she shares Benjamin and Vivian together, before ending their marriage in 2022.
