Meghan Markle Finds New Home for Her Podcast After Leaving Spotify

The Duchess of Sussex reveals plan to re-launch her 'Archetypes' series on a different platform following her controversial departure from Spotify in June 2023.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex is announcing a new podcast. The mum-of-two, 42, gave up her "Archetypes" series when her £18 million Spotify deal collapsed in June, but has now signed a new content contract with podcast production network Lemonada Media and said on Tuesday, February 13 it has marked a "fantastic" start to her year.

"I'm proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting," former "Suits" actress Meghan, who has son Archie, four, and two-year-old daughter Lilibet with her husband Prince Harry, 39, said in a statement.

"Being able to support a female founded company with a roster of thought provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024."

"Our plan to re-release 'Archetypes' so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works. I'm so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family."

Lemonada boss Jessica Cordova Kramer added, "We are beyond honoured that Meghan has trusted us to help democratise access to 'Archetypes', and that so many more people around the world will have access to the series soon."

Lemonada Media is also behind 63-year-old "Seinfeld" actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus' "Wiser Than Me" series.

Its chief creative officer Stephanie Wittels Wachs said about the deal with Meghan, "As we've started development with The Duchess of Sussex, we are blown away by her collaborative spirit and clear vision, along with her deep desire to build compassion and community through this work."

"The Lemonada team felt immediate kinship with Meghan and the Archewell Productions team, and we are delighted to be working together."

Spotify executive Bill Simmons, 54, was reported to have labelled the Sussexes "grifters" in August after the company parted ways with Meghan and Harry.
