AceShowbiz - Valerie Bertinelli has embraced her body as she opened up about being called overweight. Making use of social media, the "Kids Baking Championship" host revealed that she stopped weighing herself due to the overweight claim.
On Thursday, February 8, the 63-year-old TV personality uploaded on her Instagram page a series of photos capturing herself flaunting her jaw-dropping figure in a revealing outfit. In the two snaps, she rocked a strappy purple bra top and a pair of matching undies.
Valerie could be seen soaking up the sun in an outdoor swimming pool overlooking a breath-taking view. While one of the snaps captured her showing off her back side, the other one saw her flaunting her stomach and long legs.
Along with the photos, Valerie wrote in the caption of the post, "2014 #tbt This is a 150lb body on a 5'4 frame." She went on to share, "I don't weigh myself anymore because this is considered overweight by who's standards I don't know." She then candidly stated, "It's stupid and I believed them for far too long."
"I now, finally, know that I am a kind, considerate, funny, thoughtful woman," Valerie continued. She did not forget to encourage other to accept their body by writing, "So please remember, who you are and what your character is, should never be overshadowed by what size you are or how much you weigh. You are enough. Just the way you are." She then concluded, "F**k 'em #throwbackthursday," addinga a purple heart emoji.
After sharing her unpleasant experience with overweight criticism, Valerie received positive responses from Instagram users. In the comments section of the post, one in particular exclaimed, "Gorgeous then, Gorgeous NOW, Sister!!" Another gushed, "Omg you look great don't let a number rule your life. I'm 5 4 also and 170 down from 240 so I think I look fabulous and am happy, I've tried to lose more but holding at 170 for months so just living in the moment!"
