AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles and her daughter Blue Ivy went viral for their particular response at the 66th Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 4. In a video making their rounds online, the mom and daughter duo could be seen sharing a glance after Dua Lipa danced in front of them.
The said video saw Dua, who took the stage to debut her new song "Training Season" and "Houdini" earlier that night, having a dance-off with "The Color Purple" actress Fantasia Barrino during her performance of a tribute medley to Tina Turner. Beyonce and Blue were seen watching the two almost grinding at each other.
At one point, Blue turned to her mom. The "Cuff It" singer, meanwhile, appeared to hold her laughter as she hid her face. Upon watching the interaction, Internet users were convinced that Blue and Beyonce were laughing over an inside joke.
"I can see Blue and her mama having inside jokes about these people 24/7," one X user wrote. "Baby you know that relationship tight. My momma has to not look at me too because she would crack the hell up," someone else added.
Some others, meanwhile, thought that the reason Blue looked at her mom was because she knew Fantasia was coming to their table. "She turned back because Fantasia was going towards her mum next…," a fan opined. "Echoing the sentiment, one other said, To me the glances look to be about the fact that Fantasia and Dua Lipa both turned their attention to the next table aka Beyonce's table. Blue maybe didn't want to dance & was nervous or wanted to dance & looked back for reassurance. So many people projecting their meanness."
Some users also blasted those who painted Blue and Beyonce as mean girls. "y'all been trying to make blue a mean girl since she was a kid… and I don't like that!" a fan stressed.
"why do you guys feel the need to project on other people….. they were not laughing at her, stop trying to make them look bad," another wrote, while someone else noted, "This how rumors start lol they are not sharing glances because of her dancing. people really be messy."
