Fans of the 'Hold It Against Me' songstress have been streaming her 2011 song 'Selfish' upon learning that the NSYNC member released a new song under the same name.

AceShowbiz - Britney Army still can't get over it. Fans of Britney Spears trolled her ex Justin Timberlake by streaming her 2011 song "Selfish" after the NSYNC member released a new song under the same name.

Britney's song, which appears on the deluxe edition of her album "Femme Fatale", entered the Top 40 of the U.S. iTunes chart on Thursday, January 25. It was the same day Justin dropped his song, which marks his first solo release in six years.

By Friday afternoon, the Princess of Pop's "Selfish" reached the No. 1 spot on the list. Meanwhile, the "Like I Love You" crooner's song descended from the top spot to No. 3.

"Selfish" is expected to appear on Justin's upcoming album, "Everything I Thought It Was". For the set itself, the "Cry Me a River" hitmaker admitted that he laid down 100 songs.

Justin has been facing backlash from Britney Army after the "Toxic" singer launched her bombshell memoir, "The Woman In Me", in October 2023. In the book, she claimed she aborted the "SexyBack" hitmaker's baby because he "wasn't ready" to be a dad, dumped her by text while she was filming a music video, and cheated on her with another celebrity.

Britney detailed in her memoir how she "would never" have had a termination if Justin, whom she dated from 1999 to 2002, had been supportive. She wrote, "It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn't a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I'd anticipated."

"But Justin definitely wasn't happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren't ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn't want to be a father," she recalled. "To this day, it's one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life."
