After his controversial track titled 'J Christ' hit no. 69 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the 'Old Town Road' hitmaker offers details of his forthcoming single.

AceShowbiz - Lil Nas X has shared "good news" with his fans. The "Old Town Road" hitmaker announced that he is releasing a new single titled "Where Do We Go Now?" soon after he was accused of mocking Jesus with his controversial "J Christ" song and its accompanying music video.

On Tuesday, January 23, the 24-year-old Grammy-winning hip-hop artist made use of Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the announcement. In the caption of his new Instagram post, he wrote, "Good news yall im dropping new music to match with your depression," adding a heart emoji.

Lil Nas X offered details of the upcoming song, "Where Do We Go Now this FRIDAY along w/ the Long Live Montero Documentary on MAX." Aside from the new song's title and release date, he revealed its cover art.

In the same post, the rapper uploaded an artwork that was created by artist Aaron Fahy. It featured what appeared to be a hand drawing of the spitter and a young boy on a green field. He and the kid, who looked in sync in their all-white outfits, were standing side-by-side, holding each other's hands and flashing their smiles.

After sharing the "good news" about his forthcoming single, Lil Nas X received mixed responses from social media users. While some of them showed their support, one blasted the artist, "His only way of maintaining relevancy is by mocking God. aren't you tired bro? try something different for once?"

The new track "Where Do We Go Now?" is set to be released less than one month after Lil Nas X dropped the controversial song titled "J Christ" and its accompanying music video. Following the release on January 12, he was accused of making "a mockery of Jesus" with the track and its visuals.

Though so, the "J Christ" song recently reached No. 60 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Celebrating the achievement, the rapper penned via X, "We did it boys! we reached the funny number. Be very proud of yourselves. This is our moment!"
