A year following their ABC News exit, the former 'GMA3' co-host tearfully opens up about the pressure she felt to rebuild her career following controversies surrounding their romance.

AceShowbiz - Amy Robach couldn't help but get emotional while discussing her and T.J. Holmes' departure from "Good Morning America 3". A year following their exit, Amy tearfully reflected on the matter while also opening up about the pressure she felt after her career was taken from her due to their romance.

"I don't feel the pressure from the public to stay with you," Amy said in the Tuesday, January 23 episode of their podcast, "Amy & T.J.". "But I feel the pressure of our careers that I believe were unfairly taken from us."

"I know that I know you well enough, and I've spent enough time with you, and I knew how I felt. And love sometimes is a choice when it's hard. It's not just a feeling," she continued. "Lust is a feeling but love is a choice, I believe, and I have chosen to love you. So I don't feel pressure from the public to be with you. I would be devastated just personally because I want to be with you and I chose you."

In the episode, Amy revealed that she hopes to be reunited with T.J. on screen again. “I really want to be able to do what I love, and I want to be able to do it with you and that's more the pressure I feel," she divulged.

The couple launched their podcast on December 5, 2023. The date marked one year after ABC News President Kim Goodwin decided to put them on hiatus in the wake of reports regarding their romance.

"December 5th last year, exactly one year ago today, was the day we were told not to come into work," Amy recalled in the premiere episode. T.J. added while laughing, "We never got a follow-up call to say come back."

To that, Amy replied, "That's true. It was the opposite." The episode also saw T.J. noting that they're "the folks who lost the jobs we love because we love each other."
