AceShowbiz - Aubrey O'Day has addressed criticisms over her controversial social media post about Martin Luther King Jr.. After being accused of disrespecting the late activist, the former Danity Kane member defended herself for posting raunchy videos with an MLK quote.

On Monday, January 15, the 39-year-old OnlyFans model made use of her Instagram page to give her response to the accusation and other criticisms. In the comments section of the controversial post, she apologized, "Sorry my loves. I posted a video honoring him and a great story written in the la times that I read first thing this am on my story."

Aubrey went on to explain, "My posts for insta are preset as I have to be promoting my job rn daily," while making a reference to her job as a content creator on the adult platform. The "Automatic" singer continued, "But I def wanted to caption today with one of my fav MLK quotes!"

"Pic or videos I've shot weeks back and lined up promoting my work aren't what today is about for me personally," the former Playboy model further claimed. "It's the words and sentiments that he left us with that can better our society and that's what i wanted to honor him with today, and also stand by as a lifestyle with my actions and integrity. Xo."

The statement came a few hours after Aubrey released a series of videos and photos featuring herself in racy outfits. While one of the clips documented her clapping her butt cheeks, some of the pictures captured her exposing her cleavage and waists. Along with the footage and snaps, she wrote in the caption of the post, " 'Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.' - Martin Luther King Jr.."

Despite being showered with praise by some Instagram users, Aubrey was quickly criticized by several others. Among them was one critic who sarcastically wrote, "When I look at these pics, Martin Luther Kings moving speeches from 1964 are exactly what I think of." Another added, "Please Do Not disrespect Dr King by using his words for the good of All mankind to drive traffic to your disgraceful, tasteless money-grabbing page?! ISWIS sis!"
