The one half of superduo Silk Sonic has reportedly filed for a dissolution of marriage from his wife, with whom he shares two minor children, Soul, 13, and Shine, 6.

AceShowbiz - Anderson .Paak's private marriage is coming to an end. The singer/songwriter is divorcing his wife of 13 years, Jae Lin. He reportedly filed legal documents asking for a dissolution of marriage on Friday, January 12.
According to TMZ which first reported the news, the 37-year-old musician, who has been low-key about his private life, does not reveal their separation date and simply writes "TBD" in the designated area in the paperwork. He, however, makes it clear that he wants a straight-up divorce as opposed to a legal separation.
The Grammy Award winner also lists their two minor children as individuals they will need to hash out custody over. Seemingly not going to make a fuss over the matter, he notes that he wants himself and Jae to have joint legal and physical custody of their kids, with a visitation schedule for both of them.
The estranged exes, however, have not come to an agreement regarding the division of their assets and property as asserted by their legal teams.
Anderson met Jae, born Jaylyn Chang, a music student from South Korea, while she was in college. They are believed to have tied the knot in 2011, although AP cites 2010 as the year they got married. The pair have two sons, Soul, 13, and Shine, six.
Little is known about their marriage life, but Anderson once revealed on "The Breakfast Club" that it's his second marriage. Though he had been briefly married before to a girl he met at a church, he said that his second marriage to "Jaylyn is the one that matters."
Anderson married Jae prior to being a successful working musician. In the same interview, he opened up about the turbulent early years of his marriage to Jae, during which he faced homelessness after he was fired from his job at a marijuana farm.
Around the same time, their eldest son Soul was born. During that time, Jae remained by his side although the couple was often forced to resort to squatting or couch-surfing. "She's the one who came from Korea, didn't speak [any] English, she's [the one who has] the balls," he raved over his wife.
