On "Today With Hoda & Jenna" show, the two co-hosts of the TV program voiced their thoughts on a secret venue where the "Only Murders in the Building" star and her musician boyfriend packed on the PDA.
In the Monday, January 8 episode of the TV program, 59-year-old Hoda and 42-year-old Jenna talked about a number of famous stars, who showed off their affection towards their partners during the 81st annual event that took place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles one day prior. Among the well-known figures were Selena and Benny, whose romance was confirmed in December 2023.
Speaking to her viewers, Jenna began saying, "There were some PDAs which we wanna talk about. These were stealing the headlines." Hoda then stated, "Let's look at the first one. Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco. They posted this."
Instead of focusing on the couple, Hoda paid attention to what was surrounding the two. She hilariously asked, "It looks like it's in a closet of some sort. Doesn't it? What are those boxes?" In response, Jenna replied, "They're definitely backstage," before joking, "Or, like, at a FedEx store," prompting her co-host and their audience to burst into laughter.
During the same chat, Hoda gushed, "OK, that's a good smooch, that's a good one." Jenna further explained, "And she posted it and wrote, 'I won,' " when making a reference to Selena's social media post and its caption. Jenna continued, "Because she won him. She won."
Hoda and Jenna were referring to a PDA-filled photo of Selena and Benny that the "Same Old Love" singer uploaded via Instagram Story earlier on Monday. In the snap, Selena could be seen locking lips with Benny in a room filled with boxes and paper bags. She was photographed seemingly sitting on his lap while placing one of her hands behind his neck.
It was believed that the picture was taken during the Sunday night, January 7 event since Selena was wearing a similar red dress that she donned at the show. Despite not winning Best Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy for her role on "Only Murders in the Building", she wrote over the snap, "I won."
