The chiropractor, who tied the knot with the attorney in August 2019, submitted the divorce papers on Tuesday, January 2, citing 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for their split.

AceShowbiz - Bryan Abasolo and Rachel Lindsay are going their separate ways. "The Bachelorette" alum tied the knot with the attorney more than four years ago, but now he said they have made the "difficult" decision to divorce.

"If you've been following me for a while, you know I don't like to put my personal affairs on social media and like to keep a safe space for our family," the 43-year-old began his post shared on Tuesday, January 2. "Many of you know me as a chiropractor, and also as a husband, my proudest role so far."

"After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew," he continued. "My parents have been married forever and I'm a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go."

Bryan went on to note, "I wanted you to hear it from the source before the blos start making their own reality." He then concluded, "Please respect the spaces of our family and friends as we figure out our next steps. Respectfully, Bryan."

Rachel, meanwhile, has yet to address her split from Bryan. However, on Monday, she posted several cryptic Instagram Stories, including a workout selfie with a caption about "sweating out everything from 2023."

The 38-year-old media personality also reshared a graphic about the "lessons" she learned this past year. They included being OK with outgrowing people, accepting people's true colors and not forcing things.

Bryan submitted the divorce papers on Tuesday, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their breakup. He listed their date of separation as December 31, 2023.

Rachel and Bryan fell in love on her season of "The Bachelorette" in 2017. The pair tied the knot two years later.

When opening up about his marriage to Bryan, Rachel told E! News in November, "Whenever there's a rumor about a Bachelor Nation person getting divorced, it's my husband and I because we aren't public with our relationship and that's the exact reason why we're not." She added, "Because we realized a long time ago that so many people—the more you give them, the more opinions and judgments that they have."

"And so, we realized we needed to protect ourselves. So for us, we just post when we want to post," she elaborated further. "We're together all the time. We're just not putting it out there."
