On his podcast, the 'Watch What Happens Live' host reveals that he lost a huge amount of money in his bank account shortly after giving his information to scammers.

AceShowbiz - Andy Cohen revealed that he lost "a lot of money" due to a scam. On his "Daddy Diaries" podcast, the "Watch What Happens Live" host shared that he is currently doing what he could to get his money back.

In a December episode of the podcast, the 55-year-old TV personality spilled his move after being a victim of the scam. Speaking to his listeners, he said that he is "in the process of trying to get [his] money back."

In the podcast episode, Andy explained how the scam happened. He recalled that he answered a phone call after he saw the name of his bank appear on his phone screen. "Someone called saying they were fraud alert from my bank," he said. At that time, he gave information about his account after believing that he was talking to a real employee from his bank about a possible fraud involving his debit card that he recently lost.

"Then it asked for my Apple ID and password. And I was likeā€¦ 'OK, this never happens,' " he continued. He claimed that he then "bailed out." However, it was too late since scammers already had the information they needed to take his money.

"I had already logged into my bank app, and I think somehow, my logging in through whatever this site was gave them access to my bank app," Andy explained. "They were naming credits that I had made - the charges - because they clearly had access to my account."

The Bravo executive further recounted, "What I should have said is, 'Can I call you back?' Or what I should have maybe said is, 'I'm gonna go to my bank and handle this.' " He also spilled that he was "on the line with this woman for an hour and 10 minutes" before he saw "these people wired out of two accounts that I have a lot of money."

In the same episode, Andy did not forget to remind others about scammers. "Part of my advice for people is that if something is happening, just go to your bank branch. And when you get emails, look very closely at the email address. It might say your bank's name, but click on the name, and then the email address will appear, and you'll see that it's some other random address," he stated.
