AceShowbiz - Kid Capri had great news to share with fans before closing out 2023. The DJ and rapper revealed that he had been dealing with cancer all year, but he was recently told that he's finally cancer-free.
The 56-year-old came clean about his health condition via Instagram on Saturday, December 30. Sharing a photo of him lying in his hospital bed, he wrote "God is great! 3 days ago, I found out that I'm cancer free! Been dealing with it all year while I was doing everything I was doing for hip hop 50!"
"I had 2 surgeries and never said anything publicly about what I was going through, I'm not an attention w***e, so I didn't want to say anything, so that it didn't look like i wanted pitty," he continued. "but now that it's over, I figure I let my fans and friends know, I'm very happy."
Capri went on to reflect, "This year I did a lot, but come 2024, I'm getting even crazier than I did in 2023!!" He then concluded, "Thank you God! #kidcapri #partyking #therealLOVE #happynewyear #happyholidays."
Many have since showed love and support Capri in the comment section. "So grateful for this miracle," one user gushed. "This has been one of the hardest years of our career but God is the greatest!!! I love you Kid! So excited for what's to come in 2024."
