After seemingly receiving negative comments on her relationship with the record producer, the 'Lose You to Love Me' singer says she's taking a break from the platform until she has 'work again.'

AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez may not be giving an update on her relationship with Benny Blanco anytime soon. Shortly after confirming her romance with the record producer, the singer/actress has announced that she's taking a break from Instagram again.
"Never trolling. I'm leaving Insta for a while until I have work again," the Rare Beauty founder wrote in the comment of a post. Defending her recent social media activities, she added, "I just stand up for what I believe in. I have no shame in doing that. I love my fans more than anything in the world."
Selena appears to be trying to stay away from social media amid negative feedback after she confirmed her relationship with Benny. On Thursday, December 7, she wasn't shy to admit her feelings for the "Eastside" artist.
When a fan account a black-and-white picture that featured she cozying up with the 35-year-old musician, the "Only Murders in the Building" star replied, "He is my absolute everything in my heart. Then why has he been the best thing that's ever happened to me. The end."
Throwing a subtle shade at her exes, the 31-year-old also wrote, "Lol yeah and he's still better than anyone I've ever been with. Facts." She also commented on an Instagram post that featured an image of she and the Eastside musiciaan with the text "Selena Gomez Seemingly Confirms That She Is In a Relationship." She simply replied in the comments, "Facts."
Defending her relationship with Benny, Selena fired back at another user, "I don't understand. If you actually care about me. This is my happiest. If you don't feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever. I'm done. If you can't accept me at my happiest then don't be in [m]y life at all."
Another person advised Selena to keep her private life away from the public eye, writing, "If you can't handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your boyfriend lol -it should be special between you two only. Don't be mad at your fans. They love you." To the said comment, Selena wrote back, "Not mad. It's been 6 months bb. I will always defend my friends family and fans till the day I die."
She then posted on her Story a selfie with Benny. In a separate Story, she told her fans, "Just a reminder of how much I appreciate and love each and everyone of you."
Selena took the time response to other fans' comments before she declared her social media hiatus. Thankfully, it may no be long before the former Disney darling returns to Instagram again as she has also revealed that her new album is coming "in 2 months."
