AceShowbiz - Britney Spears is taking a trip down memory lane following reports of her father's health issue. The pop star has posted a throwback picture with her dad Jamie Spears after it was reported that he had his leg amputated.
On Tuesday, December 5, the 42-year-old singer reminisced her good old days with her family by sharing some paparazzi snaps taken of her. The mother of two was seen with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James in most of the photos, but one image featured her dad Jamie, who was holding his grandson's lunchbox and a juice box.

Britney did not caption the photos, but made sure to credit photo agencies that have the rights to the pictures. She posted the pictures following news that Jamie lost one of his legs due to "a massive infection" that "landed him in a hospital for weeks." A source told TMZ, "He had five unsuccessful surgeries to contain the infection, and doctors decided the only way to proceed was amputation" in October.
The outlet went on to add that the "Lucky" hitmaker has "softened toward her dad recently" and has even talked about the idea of sending money to help him out. Insiders also added that Jamie wants "nothing more than a reconciliation with his daughter, and harbors no ill will" towards her.
However, Page Six has posted a contradicting report. Begging to differ, multiple insiders tell the site that the claims about the Princess of Pop wanting to reconcile with her disgraced dad are false. She has no intention to make amends with her estranged father despite his health issue, the sources insist.
The "Oops!... I Did It Again" hitmaker, who wrote in her bestselling memoir "The Woman in Me" that she resented the fact her father appeared to see her "as put on the earth for no other reason that to help their cash flow," reportedly will "never forgive him for the abuses and trauma he caused." An insider stresses, "The book and her posts about detesting her father speak for themselves."
This is after Britney celebrated her 42nd birthday with her mother Lynne Spears and brother Bryan Spears. Noting that this is not any indication of what the future holds with her father, the outlet reports that even a full reconciliation with Lynne is still "an active work in progress."
