The 'Oops!... I Did It Again' songstress is said to have wanted her younger sister to attend the party where she celebrated her 42nd birthday with mom Lynne and brother Bryan.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears apparently didn't leave out her sister Jamie Lynn Spears of her birthday party guest list. The pop star allegedly invited the actress to her birthday bash, which was attended by her mother Lynne Spears and brother Bryan Spears.

According to TMZ, Britney had been talking to her mother regularly for weeks before she flew Lynne out to Los Angeles over the weekend to celebrate her 42nd birthday. While the mother-and-daughter duo appeared to have a blast at the party, Jamie Lynn missed out the celebration because of work commitment.

Sources tell the site the "Womanizer" hitmaker also wanted her younger sister to attend the party, but the "Zoey 101" star was shooting a show out of the country. Britney, however, is reportedly still keen on burying the hatchet with her sister and is expected to reconcile with her younger sibling in the near future.

"Britney wants to make things right with her family. She thinks it's time to start healing," a source claims.

Meanwhile, Britney's mom appeared to be joyful following her reunion with her daughter. Spotted on her way back to Louisiana, she told a videographer at LAX on Monday, December 4 that it felt "wonderful" to spend time with her daughter. She added that Britney is "happy," although she did not elaborate on the reunion.

As reported before, Britney, who turned 42 on December 2, threw an early birthday party on Friday night at the home of her manager Cade Hudson. Unfortunately, Britney was forced to leave early in order to rush her dog to the vet after it cut himself on a paw.

Giving an update, the "Lucky" songstress assured that her Maltese pooch was fine. "Don't worry about Snow she's fine," she wrote on Instagram. "I went to the emergency vet in the middle of the night with [friend and manager] Cade [Hudson]'s shoes and clothes in a hurry. I literally look like the girl in 'All Dogs Go to Heaven' dressed up like a man being told to take bets!!!"
