AceShowbiz - Blake Lively appeared to have succeeded in making social media users laugh with her new joke about Beyonce Knowles and Taylor Swift. The former "Gossip Girl" star hilariously told the "Break My Soul" hitmaker and the "All Too Well" songstress not to "be threatened" by the actress' "pop stardom."
On Friday, December 1, the 36-year-old actress made use of her Instagram page to share a joke about Beyonce and Taylor. In a post about women empowerment, she wrote in the caption, "When I grew up, women were always pit against one another."
Blake went on to say, "It took me until adulthood to see that the instinct for women to lift each other up to their highest potential is the norm not the exception." She continued, "Most of my best friends are women who would've been packaged to me as threats or competition. It's our job to show younger generations the power in aligning rather than dividing."
The wife of actor Ryan Reynolds further mentioned Queen Bey and Taylor, "All this to say, @beyonce and @taylorswift neither of you have to be threatened by my pop stardom." She added, "There's space for us all."
Near the end of the caption, Blake additionally promoted Beyonce's concert film, which was released that same day, "Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce. In theaters now." She then gave her opinions on the movie, "And even better than you can imagine."
In the same post, Blake uploaded a series of photos capturing her, Beyonce and Taylor from the premiere of "Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce" in London. One of the pictures saw Blake having a seemingly fun conversation with the "Halo" songstress while they were standing in front of each other and flashing their radiant smiles.
Another snap showed Blake hanging out with her bestie Taylor at the same movie event. In the photo, they could be seen sitting close to one another on a sofa. Blake was smiling at the camera while the "Back to December" singer was looking in another direction.
Other photos highlighted Blake's stunning look for the event. She donned a body-fitted long-sleeved outer that had sparkling silver embellishments on its lower part and came with only one button, exposing her flat abs. She also wore a black mini skirt and a pair of matching high heels.
