The 24-year-old 'Old Town Road' spitter, who is out and proud, takes to X, formerly known as Twitter, to talk about entering the 'Christian era' of his career.

AceShowbiz - Ahead of Christmas, Lil Nas X apparently is embracing Christianity. On Thursday, November 30, the "Old Town Road" spitter took to his X page to talk about entering the "Christian era" of his career.

Making use of his account, Lil Nas X treated fans to a new song snippet and visual. Alongside a video of him looking somber inside a car while rocking a T-shirt that read, "If God Doesn't Exist Then Who's Laughing At Us?"

In his new track, the Grammy winner can be heard singing, "Father stretch my hands/ the lonely road seems to last the longest/ help me with my plans/ everything seems to go nowhere."

In the caption, he asked his devotees, "y’all mind if i enter my christian era ?" Fans, however, didn't seem to buy Lil Nas X's words as he's known for trolling on social media. Some even blasted the musician for his alleged gimmick.

In response to fans refusing to believe his words, the "Industry Baby" hitmaker wrote in a separate tweet, "Y'all see everything i do as a gimmick. When in reality im just an artist expressing myself in different ways. Whether im a cowboy, gay, satanic, or now christian y'all find a problem! Y'all don't police nobody else art like mine. Y'all hate me because im fun cute and petite."

"Making christian music does not mean i can't suck d**k no more," he continued ranting. "The two are not mutually exclusive. I am allowed to get on my knees for multiple reason."

His tweets earned him mixed responses. One user wrote to Lil Nas X, "no. of course people are going to think you’re trolling when not too long ago you were saying and doing the complete opposite. it’s just hard to take you serious, and religion is a serious topic. if you ARE serious though, good for you. but you could be playing. who knows. Xo."

A fan, meanwhile, jumped to his defense by saying, "Your true fans accept each and every part of you. You keep on expressing your self and know we all support and love you."
